This song is definitely outside my usual style of lyrics. The idea came to me about a week ago, while I was getting ready for another day. Normally, when I write songs, I do a quick acoustic recording on my phone, and come back later to polish and record it properly, but this song caught hold and wouldn't let go until I had it completely recorded.

I've shared it on a songwriting challenge site, and the consensus is that it would work across genres, from hymnal to folk and beyond. I went with the americana/folk approach. I've included it on this demo EP partly because it is different, and partly because, as a song of hope, the message fit right in with the bulk of the songs I've included.
